Ending names and conditions give away where the story goes. Every card stays blurred until you click it.

How the ending is decided

The three standard endings come down to one hidden comparison: discoveries this run versus kills. Only Clues and Documents count as discoveries. Postcards, CRTV signals, phone numbers, supply crates, healing items, play time and difficulty make no difference. Some enemies on the main path have to die, so zero kills isn't possible, but that doesn't stop you getting Justice.

UFO ending: what you need

To trigger it: after the late SWDP puzzles and the container release, follow the red corridor. Before the very last door, look for the card reader on the side wall and use the Strange Access Card. Guides disagree on whether it's on the left or right — it's a short detour off the straight path.

All five endings in the fewest runs

Run 1Go for Justice (lots of discoveries, few kills) or Abandoned (lots of kills) to unlock NG+.
NG+Pick up the bronze and silver coins, all three Strange Books and the Strange Access Card as you go. Make a manual save in Part 4 (Clara Woods), and another in Part 6 before using the card or dropping the gold coin. From the later save, finish UFO, Dog and Justice; from the earlier save, adjust your kill count for Forever and Abandoned.
