It's a time-swap puzzle: change the tape and the house changes.

Across the different days you need three “code” notes and a disk, then a count read off the computer.

The safe code is the number that sits between the two other notes.

Step by step
- 01Upstairs, first room on the left: take The Code Today (clue) from the desk. Play the tape player, open it and take Tape: Today.
- 02Black box in the bedroom at the end of the hall: Tape: Yesterday.
- 03Play Yesterday. Downstairs living-room black box: Tape: Tomorrow. Kitchen table corner: The Code Before (clue).
- 04Play Tomorrow. Living room: The Code After (clue). The other kitchen black box: Tape: Do Not Play.
- 05Play Do Not Play. Kitchen counter by the door: Back Door Key.
- 06Play Today. Out the back door, along the alley, through a door that's only open on this day — the Ammonite Disk is on the table.
- 07Play Yesterday. Put the Ammonite Disk in the reader left of the computer and open Current Count.
- 08Play Today and open the safe on the desk with 129.
